Problem with the leather/vinyl bras is that your paint is susceptible to "fogging" due to moisture and heat that builds up under the material - especially in a hot climate. The paint will get dull and will require labor to repair. If you leave the bra on for a period of time, you will see what I mean, and you will not be pleased. Especially a dark color like black. You should liberate your front end and go bra-less (or clear).

Would that problem exist even if they took the extra effort and removed the bra during the normal cleaning / waxing routine?

I say yes, because the bra is on 99% of the time and only removed temporarily for cleaning. I only use vinyl car bras in the winter when I am trying to protect the front end from road salt, flying rocks, debris, etc. that is normal crap on the roadways after the snow starts falling and the plows come out. No one should use a traditional car bra for any other reason. The manufacturers will tell you otherwise, of course, saying the material is "breatheable". Nonsense.

It seems that, in the area of lingerie, that "sheer" would be a better description than "clear". Jenn?

Hahahahahahaha Ummmm Yes. Who is going for the Fish net look... And I would have to say that since the Colgan doesn't cover the front with mesh net, that would be more like a cup thong. Not a bra.

Bra ruin cars. They make cars ugly when they are on, and ruin the paint so you can't take it off. You car doesn't have tits it doesn't need a bra.

They protect your paint from stone chips and if you take them of during the winter they do NOT ruin cars,, I bet if you compared your front end with mine you would see big difference! Also its a matter of opinion weather it makes them ugly or not,, and sometimes protection matters.
Last but not least the accurate technical term is front-end cover, bra is just a slang,, I sure hope you do know that you dont always have to have "tits" to use bra's , as it's common even for some ladies with no "tits" to wear bra's as well! In my case I would rather prefer naming mine "The Bro"
