i just got back into town and decided to start working on my mustang again... im in the process of installing the clutch linkage... theres a problem tho... the car was and auto and has had the majority of the floor and frame replaced... the bracket that holds the Z-bar to the frame rail has no holes to mount it... i obviously need to drill holes to bolt it down, but where can i gain access to the nuts for the back side... there are not any really good pics on the net. any info would be great. thanks

More than likely the new frame does not have "hidden nuts" that you drill to find.

You will need some type of a crush nut that you can add from the top of the frame. Might want to look at the crush nuts that are used on power steering cars? Not sure of their size but the idea is the same.

You might contact a Mustang rebuild shop (like what CJ Pony parts offers) and see what they recommend when they do restorations.

thanks.... as you suspected, it didnt have the hidden nuts. i drilled the two holes in the top frame rail and cut a 1" x 1/2" access hole on the outside frame rail away from the power steering bolts so i can use a wrench with what i would call a "washered nut" and set it inside the box end of the wrench for install and removal. man this pedal/brake booster/master cyl/ linkage swap has been hell.
