Liquid to Air Intercooler

Has anyone ever installed a liquid to air intercooler on a lx coupe 5.0? If you've seen it where would you put it seeing how big they are(besides the passenger seat)? Also, has anyone used the dez racing intake liquid to air?

You can get dash mount A/W intercoolers, then run your pump and lines in the trunk to a seperate cell.

The Vortech Igloo will work but I would suggest you go with a seperate A/W which will be more efficent.

Check out www.chiseledperformance.net Robert makes some very nice pieces, you can also mount your tranny cooler in the bottom to help keep that cool or run it in a seperate small tank. (that is what I have for my own car)

Could you show me some pics of the underdash unit? I want to stay factory like and not have alot of heat under the dash. Where else can you mount a air to water so its out of the way and I dont have to cut anything? I like the intake style setups better just because it centered in the car for good weight transfer.

you will loose your heater core, etc....

The 2 pics I showed go up under the dash, you do not see them at all, then you run a seprate water/ice cell in the trunk and run 2 rubber lines back to it. I have seen a/w coolers up front but it adds a lot of weight to the front and can cause some space issues.

If this is a race car I would do the cooler mounted where the passenger feet or behind the pass seat or the under dash. If this is a street car just go A/A and save your self a lot of money and hassles.

What is your intentions with the car?
