Little Blue Box????

Hey well in all my wiring stuff i ran into i finally decided to get rid of the AC, and the heater always leaked and never worked either. Anything to do with any of that i am removing. I got the dashed removed and bunches of heater stuff yanked out and all the AC stuff too... Im tryin to go through some of the uneeded wiring and came across this blue box thats ome wires ran into, i was wondering wat it is, i was think its might be some airbag control box but im not sure. Here are some pics below:

It that the only thing it controls??? If so ill rip that thing out too, because all the airbags sensors are already ripped out the car, no need for the controller if that is the only thing it controls. I just need to make sure it doesnt controll something else that i will need such as light or othe things of the sort.

LOL, thanks for that positive thinkin on that one.... Im gonna go knock on some wood now, thanks alot. It will be coming out tomorrow now, and now i got even more wiring to go through. I think i lost about 100 lbs of crap so far out of the car: all the stock wiring for the EFI junk, compressor willbe gone on the new motor, all the heater junk and all the AC stuff... I guess that will make up for the difference in weight of my 408w would be to a 302....

lol the funny thing is that im on summit right now, lookin at steering wheels when you postd that, im lookin at some new ones, i havnt found one i liked yte, but i got like 800 more to look at on summit....doesnt seem to hard thouhg, i know you have to get an adapter for them to fit your application though, seems like you would just unbolt yur stock one, bolt the adapter on, and then bolt yur grant or aftermarket one one, i wanna do a quick disconnect also.

See that extra peice hanging down with the loop on it? Does that go back on or can I clip that? The original was an airbag wheel. Any help would be great.

oh hey look at that, yur the one who did the tutorial on the heater core removal thing. I loved that write up, i used that all day to day to take out my dash. It was great, now the hard part comes, puttin it all back together, i printed the pictures out and when i took the screws out of that area i layed them on the picture so hopefully i can get it all back together with no problems, and about yur steering wheel im not seeing the loop thing yur talkin about.... sorry

Thanks, I'm glad it it's of use to someone.

The part that I am talking about is hanging off the thick yellow wire there. It fits right on top of that rusty-a$$ plate. I've been wondering if the installation kit will fit over that. I don't know cuz I don't have the kit yet, just the wheel.

thats actually the lil "Dinger".. when you leave your lights on or whatever.. it can be part of the air bag as well.. but its the dinger in your accessory system

Well in the process of tracing all the wires today that i didnt need under the dash, i found that i didnt need those yellow wires going to the steering wheel that you were talkin about... Im not sure if you will need them or not but i didnt, i got rid of heater, ac, and airbag junk, i bet it has something to do with the airbag stuff in the steering wheel, because most of the wires that i got rid of today was from all those airbag sensors....

yo DON i was wondering since you have everything torn apart, if you could, see what plug goes into the instrument panel dimmer switch... When i was wiring my dash back up today, i couldnt find the dang plug anywhere, and i was so carefull to not cut anything that i wasnt sure about, i just couldn't find the plug that went back into it, if you would take a pic if you can for me and post it up, thanks buddy....

yeah, thanks man, i search high and low for that plug just couldnt find it in all the mess, lol, well actually its not a mess anymore i taped everything up real nice so it actually looks really clean under there now, not that anyone can see it but i like to do it right, now its time to work on my engine bay, fillin all those little bitty holes... What you think would be the best way to do it, my dad said i shoudl sand blast it all down, then weld all the holes up with a mig and then grind them down and spready some bondo on it and shoot it with some paint........ sounds liek alot of work, but i got lots fo time till i get my motor in, so it gives me summin to work on. Im buyin my new tubular k-member and tubular a-arms and coilovers tonight. And also why yur takin the picture try to see what colors the wires are goign into that plug and what other plugs are split from that one if you could. Thanks

Here's the cable that you were asking about:

Here it is from the connection end:

Iwas going to take pics of the assembly, of the driver side end, but then I realized how easy it is for me to access the clutch quadrant. I've got a Steeda Kit on the way so it's gonna stay the way it is for now.

Hope this helps
