Local Dealer ordering my 2007 GT in March

I went to a pretty big dealer on sat just to check out when your able to order a 2007 Mustang GT.
The Salesman said you cannot order a 2007 till June but I said it should be sooner but even another salesperson said nope not till June thats when you can order a 2007 Mustang GT.
I will be going to my local dealer at the end of the week and put my order in.
Glad I didnot order a 2006 like many other dealers I have spoken too.If I order anything it will be a 2007.JoeyGYP

Glad I ordered mine in Dec 05 received in Feb 06. In 8 weeks just like they said. It was from a small dealer, little allocation from midwest. Will now be enjoying way before June or July. ONE person in particular said it wouldnt happen yuck yuck. Now I have everything I wanted, even the right tranny and color. Resale between 06 or 07 doesn't matter I will be keeping this pony for years. 06 or 07 it will be an awesome car. Good luck and enjoy the excitement of a new pony!

The order guide is out, but I also haven't been able to get a good answer on when you can order a 2007. Looks like today you can order the Shelby GT500, though.

From what I've read, the new interios will be dark charcoal, but with color inserts in the seats and on the door panels. I like the idea of the charcoal carpet, but I want the medium parchment dash and doors, with the charcoal insert, just like I had on my '05. So I think I'm going to skip the 2-tone interior stuff. I would like to see what the different color choices are though. So pictures would be nice. From what I remember when I ordered last year, you can change options until it's serialized, or pulled for production, so if pictures come out before then and you want to change your interior, you should be able to do that.

Are they really going to start production in June? I thought last year they didn't start the '06's until August. I'd like June, that'd get my new car here sooner, but since I'll be driving something else already, I can wait longer if I need to.

I will be going to my dealer at the end of the week,thats the only time I have.I hope there will be New features different from the 05 and 06s?
This site has really helped me alot and enjoyed reading past posts.
I guess that other post a few months ago was right about the March dates?

I wouldn't trust what the dealer told you. They most likely want to sell you something they have in the lot today rather than order an 07 for you.

The dealer order guides are out and the order banks should be open as of today.

As far as the interior colors go, Medium Parchment, Light Graphite and Dark Charcoal carry over to 07. The Dark Charcoal / Red insert seats also carry over with the same code but for 07 they are calling this interior Black / Red Color Accent. New for 07 are Black / Parchment cloor accent, Black / Dove color accent and Black / Chamois color accent.

Also new for 07:
3.55 axle on manual GT is now optional
manual trannie ratios appear to have changed
GT/CS (califonia special) option for GT
Sirius Satellie optional
Aux Audio input (for Ipod) now on all audio systems.
Heated Seats optional - leather only
Comfort Group option - heated seats, power passenger seat, electrochromatic rear view mirrow with compass and home link.
GT trim package adds hood scoop, engine cover Rolled exhuast tips
Premier Interior Trim options adds soft touch stitched covers on dash, console and arm rests, aluminum pedals, and 2 tone seats & door panel inserts - leather only

Ordered my 2007 Mustang GT Premium
Orange Exterior and sirius Upgrade ,manual trans.
Got my local dealer to let me have it at $200 over invoice instead of the $500 we were talking about.
Will have something called a Dora on Fri.
Dealer told me Late June I should get the car.Very happy at not ordering a 2006 a month ago.JoeyGYP

No I didnot have a trade in,I am just buying the car as a toy and have a bit of fun.
Color is fine and it does need to have a manual trans.If i wanted a auto i would sell my 05 Tahoe then.Thanks JoeyGYP

The OG isn't clear on this, but it seems like 3.31 is now standard for ALL 07 Mustangs. With GT manuals 3.55 gears can be ordered by specifying code 455.

Joe good news you your 07 Stang order, make sure that code 455 is specified so you get 3.55 gears.

I'm waiting to see what the new 2 tone interiors look like before ordering.
