Hey guys i have a built manual valve body AOD transmission in my 95 mustang. Reason why is this drive train was in a 1990 Lincoln Mark VII before (miss that car). Anyways rather than get the AODE built up with a manual valve body i decided to use the AOD i had already built up. One problem....The shifter has a different ratio. To temporary fix the issue i built my own bracket for my B&M sn95 hammer shifter. But is still isn't right.
Anyways ive been looking at the Lokar tail mount shifters. Has anyone used them??? i like the idea of no shifter cable and a direct rod from the shifter itself to the transmission. Not sure if it sits back far enough on the tail shaft to come up threw the floor. I would go with a full racing shifter but then i would have to start modifying my center console. (not gonna happen) So i figure a Lokar with a leather boot would work. Just wanted to see if anyone had any experience with these.
Thanks again in advance guys
Chris
