lol @ MM&FF issue 11/07

There's an article on page 97 about an 04 GT owned by a guy named Ernie Aldrete. Ernie turned the car into a targa top. not a bad looking car, i give him props for that. But...... he's got a stock 4.6L 2V with exhaust, plenum, u/d pulleys, CAI, 90mm Maf, and aftermarket COP's. Ernie claims 345hp at the crank! he must have been using ricer math. his estimate is about 50hp too high.

if MM&FF was a credible performance mag, they'd filter out B.S. like that. they should know better.

haha i know that kid, he is in a local car club. the car is really nice in person, i think he used to work for Granatelli, so thats where the B/S numbers come from.

Yeah alot of people will just add what the product claims it can do on the high end with all the other "mods" and ooohhhhhh look I got a hundred more horses with intake and exhaust and pullies!

you should buy a K&N air filter


the Procharger on your car might add a few hp but K&N claims upwards of 15 extra hp, add that to your current SOTP and you'll be breaking 500

it's what i've been saying all along although without forged internals and a proper fuel delivery setup the turbonator wouldn't be the best idea on a stock blocked Mustang
