More B.S. stories in 5.0 MAG

01 Cobra's were factory freaks! I coudln't touch stock 01's when my 96 Cobra had 4.10's and L/T's. I ran 13.54@106MPH 2.260ft. They were running 13.1-13.4 STOCK. That 320HP was B.S. I think. More like 330-340HP

99 Cobra's were factory dissapointments They had bad exhaust systems, tuning, intakes, everything. That's why they took the 2000 year off...to make the 01 Cobra the beast it should have been in 1999.

I dunno about the 340 hp, but when my buddies 01 was stock & I had a catted H, catback, & C&L, I would pull on em every time by about a car. Now he has 4.30's, off road x, catback, JLT, diablosport, udp's, drag radials, & an aluminum flywheel, & its a drivers race for us now, with his car having the edge. He put down 306/300 on a dynojet with those mods.... My car put down 290/311 with my mods & an Xcal2 crappy mail order tune.

I find it funny how some LS1 owners think heads and cams are bolt-ons.

Have you ever worked on one of those motors?? It's so easy, of course those parts are "bolt-ons"

Either way they are strong N/A Cobra's. I've only got to race 1 on the street. IT was summer of 2003 before my Vortec. It was great, because I ***** you NOT....the next summer of 2004, I saw him again, and we raced! He didn't hear my blower, so he goes, you want some more?? I said sure!!! Needless to say, he got smoked and when I saw him up the road, he was bone-hawking my car!!!

I also raced a 99 vert when I was stock. He lost due to excessive wheel hop!! It was so bad, it actually scared the ***** out of me when it happened!!

SO easy it takes 1.5 hours to change out the sparkplugs

Yeah if you're a moron, or have no swivels and extensions lol... Plugs aren't hard to change on 90% of the cars that have LS1's in them IMO... My point is the heads, cam, and intake come off easy as pie!

The lt1's and ls1's are in the same spot in relation to the car. They are stuffed way back in there. I always thought the same thing but all the fbody guys say its not actually that bad to work on. I know some of the cop bolts are hard to get in back in the very back.
