I am thinking about rebuilding a wounded 1990 5.0 I have. I feel the block and crank are plenty stout enough for the 350-400 crank hp I'm shooting for.
I am thinking that upgraded rods are the way to go. Pistons of course will be upgraded as well. Motor will not see Boost or N20. Just atmosphere.
A 5.400" rod and 408 Stroker pistons from KB Silv-o-lite makes a nice combo and delivers a 1.8:1 rod ratio.
Anyone done a long rod 302?
