alright so nobody really probably knows me here except for rich 95opal, and of course the clark character...and seeing as he doesn't have a cell phone and i can't get ahold of him until he gets home tonight i need your guys opinions...

my brother in law called me yesterday and found a 95 black on black cobra...the stock motor was toast and apparently they just built a new motor thats got 700ish miles on it. It was built buy a guy up north that builds motors for some race cars and actually did the machine work on tom's block. The top end has trick flow heads and trick flow intake and i guess a flowmaster exhaust. The car itself has somewhere in the range of 70k miles on it. Exterior is pretty much stock as well as suspension, no blower...guy is asking $8k for it. Is that a decent price? I know i don't have any pictures or anything else for you guys to go on, but just need an opinion. If so i might be attending events with you guys this year in a cobra.

That sounds about fair to what they go for around me. If it really is clean looking they still seem to get 8-10k depending on what is done. Sometimes they get even more...like 12 would be an insult to clark or opal IMHO.

yeah Id say thats not a bad asking price considering its got a new heart transplant thats built up. As long as the body is sound Id go for it.

Being the bargain-chasing cheap skate that I am, I would offer 7, but 8 isn't a bad deal at all. If you consider the cost of buying a 70k-ish mile 95 in good shape then doing the motor work to it that this one has, you would spend well over 8k, not counting the fact that you don't have to go through the trouble of doing it...

I say

Oh and I've met you too, last year at Carlisle.
