Yea you can. It might not be as simple as cutting it where the long tubes end....you may need to add pipe. If you can weld, it probably is worth it. But if u are gonna have a shop do it....get the quote first. You may be better off just selling your x pipe for shortys and buying a shorty mid pipe for long tubes.

I used bbk....which i prefer over mac. I like the one piece flange. Although i have heard of complaints on both companies....one thing i hate dealing with are the warping primaries on my mac headers. The one piece flange of the bbk's dont do that.

I think most people prefer the BBK. I've installed some Mac headers in the past, and had fitment issues.

I put a set of 1-3/4 MAC longtubes on my car about 3 months ago, and the fit was great. They were for the 94-95 style, so maybe that had something to do with it. The cheapy eBay x-pipe I bought was the fitment problem, but a floorjack took care of that pretty easily. Very pleased with my results!!

Don't worry, even the original X-pipes from the same manufacturer need to be bent to fit.
