So you could just bring an SCT 2 and clear the codes before you run it through inspection and hope they dont come back on right away hehehe

and also if thats the case, having MIL eliminators would let you pass inspection too right? Because they prevent the engine from tripping codes right?

wont work because once they plug your car in itll show that all systems or monitors are not ready. meaning your codes were cleared recently. they might give you a temp sticker or something and tell you to drive the car for a while and then come back when the ECU has learned the car again, meaning if you didnt fix what caused the code your light will be on again

Where do you go to get your car inspected. NJ emissions is one of the worst....what the hell kind of state inspection place are you going to that they are just OVERLOOKING that??!?!

....or is it NOT a state inspection, and its an independent place.... *IF* thats the case, oh then I understand.

It will show code P1000 after you clear all codes. P1000 will not turn the MIL on but the inspector can read it. It tells them that all ODBII tests have not been run.
