longtube trouble

I have recently installed longtube headers on my 89 coupe. The car is also lowered so every time I go over a speed bump the exsaust scrapes and blows the header gasket. Any advice would help.

Is your H-Pipe hanging really low???

What kind of drop do you have? Long tubes sit pretty low anyways, if your dropped more than 1" you going to have to run shorties or get taller springs. Is your engine still in the stock location (some people move them back and or down for better geomotry)?

its droped about an inch in the front and 1/2 an inch inthe rear.

Are you running the stock diameter size tires? What kind of headers are they and how big of a speed bump are we talking about?

just put some air bags on or raise the car back up to stock.
