Nice coating you have there . Sorry, thanks for the picture.
I do have problems even with shorties, and bbk x-pipe, not to hit on the wall of my garage with a minor lowering. Now i can see that L/T wont be worth the hp for me with that ground clearance.

+1 on that one. dont let one pic of a piss poor install turn you away. out of all the cars and trucks I have owned I have never been disappointed with the results from adding LT's. they have been around forever b/c they work. period.
spend the time and money to get them installed correctly the first time and crap like whats in that pic wont be a problem for you.

How do the bbk long tubes headers fit with a lakewood safety bell?

had bbks on an 87 and it was pretty simple. Just had to loosen the passenger side motor mount and jack up that side to get it in. and the driver side went right in with no problems.

Yeah - that's part of the safety check, not the emissions visual.

usually require you to clearance the scattershield flange slightly with nearly any long tube header. My Kooks didnt need any clearancing, but they are the only ones Ive used that were that way.

The only thing that sucks about LT's are the o2 sensor extentions, because there is no where to tie them up. But I heard that Advance Auto sells o2 sensors with longer wiring?

yeah i know! my o2's hang down and it pisses me off. if you're within a 30' radius of my car you can't see them because my car is low, but anywhere outside of that, it looks like crap with chit hanging down under my car. they're definitely worth it though. just not the crappy hedman's i have...

Wont fit with a lakewood, you'll need to cut the bell. They will fit with a mcleod bell.

Advance and auto zone both sell 02s with a longer harness. Really only the LH side needs it. I dont use harness extensions at all and I have plenty of length in the stock harness....and my long tubes may be a little longer than BBKs

yeah i didn't have to use extensions either. if anything, i wish my o2 harness' were shorter to take up some of the slack.
