After I got my lower intake off today I decided to swap on my new ford racing VC's (black ones w/ ford racing in red) just to see what they might look like. Wow! They look f***ing awesome. However, from just setting the intake back on with the new VC's in it looks like I will need a 1 1/4" spacer to clear the VC's. Which also means I will need a new hood. I don't know if its worth the effort but they look so sweet. I want to do my intake and everything else in the black w/ red trim to match.
Question - what all are my options. I think my VC's are the 4" tall ones, and it looked like the stock ones are about 2" tall. Do they make any 3" tall VC's that look ok, b/c with those I think I could get away with a 1/2" spacer and still have hood clearence. I'm in the middle of a headswap and will be running AFR 165's with comp pro magnum 1.6 rockers, so they will need to fit that also. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
