So I was running late for the Halloween Family Dinner yesterday, I decided to speed a little bit. All of a sudden I lost my power steering, power brakes, and my battery light came on. I thought it was something stupid so i drove it to somewhere where i could safely pull over, all that time my temp gauge was going higher. I pulled over, popped my hood, noticed the hood heat shield, looked down and seen my serpentine belt literally shredded into strands all over. It sucked.

That happened to me about a year ago. While turning on the A/C. Buy a belt with a 3 year warranty from autozone.

Nothing to worry about. The car shuts down before you get too hot. My hood blanket looks exactly the same except I pulled all of the gnarly hairs off.
