I want a set for my Fox body! I really hate the GT turndowns and can't afford a Cobra bumper, so tailpipes are out of the question for now. Seriously, I am going to buy some Spintech mufflers anyway, which are a lot smaller than Flows, so maybe those would work instead of glasspacks.

Spintech sells their side exhaust mufflers seperately....

Hehehe I'll see what I can do, I want to see if some Magnaflow Magnapacks would work under there. Tarch is right about the resonance and the ground clearance though, I get some resonance in the cab when I down shift at slow speeds, and speed bumps make me a little nervous (haven't hit anything yet though ) I suppose its like anything else with these cars though, you just gotta decide if you are willing to live with the down sides of it to reap the rewards of the good sides.

How well do the Spintech mufflers sound. I want a nice smooth sound through out the powerband.

I dunno lol, the lady that had the car before me switched them around for some reason I kinda like 'em that way to tell you the truth though.

Ok, talked with my boss today at work about prices for you guys. He said if we use all our stuff it would cost $275. That includes the labor to weld/install the exhaust, (2) Magnapack mufflers made by Magnaflow (or glass packs, whichever you prefer), a custom built x-pipe, and the side pipes. The only thing not included would be the exhaust tips, those are extra, and we'd have to order whichever ones you pick out (or you could just bring them in, we wont charge extra to weld them on for you). Also if you set up an appointment with me, I can give you a 20% stangnet member discount! So lemme know if you guys wanna do the side exhaust!

a little more detail...

what kind of custom X?

how about Cats?

what size tubing? mandrel bent?

when you say "if we use all our stuff" what does that mean?

i'm still up for it but want to know the specifics?

20% StangNet discount... does that mean the price will be around $225 if you do the work?

which exhaust tips did you use? where did you order them from? how much?

AND! will we be able to clear my subs?

tyler,

this would be very nice, but i plan on reselling those if that's ok with you...

don't care for the 20% discount, but i have a group of people that are willing to spend the bucks to get that setup... only downfall is that my car is the only local car and would have to be the prototype...

i dunno just something to think about... you'll make your money... i'll make some money in the process and we're both happy

let me know

Sorry I don't play the middle man game, you can @#$% right off if thats what you were thinking.

Anyways.... dTas95GT, its a Magnaflow X-pipe (no cats), it would be 2.5 inch tubing, unfortunately its not mandrel bent. When I said "if we use all our stuff" I meant that if we supply all the parts, mostly was thinking along the lines of mufflers. You can provide your own mufflers or we can get them for you. The tips unfortunately I don't know much about the tips, I jacked them off of a Denali we did exhaust on lol. I know we can order similar ones through Magnaflow however. As for the subs issue, I have no clue to tell you the truth, you'd prob have to bring it in one day so that we could make sure it would work, and also have you pick out the tips you would like to order as well (unless you bring tips you order from somewhere else, which would be fine as well). I think we could get it to clear the subs but i'd like to make sure before I say yes

Assuming we provide everything (therefore going with the $275 price), it would be $220 before the cost of the exhaust tips (the tips arent included in the original price) and tax.

Also, in case anyone is curious, the 20% discount can be applied towards ANY custom exhaust system we do, just lemme know if you need some work done.

so... its $220 for the full system; no cats, no tips. plus i get to keep my original x-pipe and catback.

the resaon i ask is i plan to sell the x and catback to pay for the side exhaust. but i'm going to need cats. how much for cats?

not mandrel. i'll have to take a look and see what it looks like. i don't have any tips. i like the double tip. how much to order from Magnaflow?

Our welder is too puny for subframe connectors apparently lol I keep trying to convince the boss to try it atleast but he won't budge.

dTas95GT: You are correct. For the cats, you would prob be better off just bringing your own that you buy online or something, ours are ridiculously priced lol, I think for 2 high flow Magnaflow cats its like $289.95 installed. Tips can range anywhere from $10-$35 each, just depends on the style you want, and whether or not you buy stainless steel tips or tips dipped on chrome.

let me think a little smaller here for a sec...

how much to just get my mufflers changed out and replaced with Magnapacks?

then from there... is it possible to get just the catback replaced with the side exhaust system and connected to my existing bassani-X?

cats run about $100 each so i'm looking at options. i'd like to keep this relatively inexpensive or else i'll just bite the bullet and buy a new full bassani catback.
