Looking for a shop to bolt up my Long tubes, hpipe, and mufflers in spring or houston/tx. Looked at the headers and where they have to go... decided i'd rather pay someone to do it.

Bought BBK headers, hpipe /w cats, spintech mufflers, tails, and copper gaskets /w locking head bolts. Just need someone /w a lift to put it all on for me

Try Performance Mustangs on the north side. www.pmustangs.com. I called for a quote once and told me $100 to weld up my off road h-pipe and flows.

Edit: There's lots of places here in the H, but is tjr one that I know is closest to you. There is another spot on 1960, but I can't remember the name.

See if you can get somebody to let you on to a Military base, our base has a auto hobby shop, with about 10 lifts and all the tools you need. Only thing they don't have is a dyno

I'll drive down 1960 and check... pmmustangs tried to rip me off on the purchase of a stang, very shady. Not going to go there just based on that. Ripplies did a real good job on my exhaust for a '63 bonneville I had (manifolds back... no cats, just straight pipes). Just not sure if I trust them to do headers etc.

ps, pmmustangs: Advertised in autotrader a stang for $3600... called and got details, offered $2500. Told him I reall am only looking under $3... thats all I got. He told me to come down, check out the car. Rust on wing, doors sagging, seats not bolted down, clutch has to go to the floor to engage... speedo bouncing. Offered him $3k, he said he had someone offer more... car also was different than the one pictured (rims, interior etc).

I'll do it for you for a heck of a lot less than any shop around here.

I agree with you about Performance mustangs, they are really shady and live to rip people off, I know I got ripped.

I would either go to Houston Performance, or Slaters Perfomance in Humble.

I have worked with both of them and have had no problems. Or you could take Marlboro_Man up on his offer.

You can also check out Tomball Muffler on FM 2920 in downtown Tomball. A literal "hole in the wall" place, but they installed my exhaust, cat back, for like $70, including some welding and fixing of brackets. Plus there are several guys on our local website, www.westsidemustangs.com that do good work.

Damn I didn't know there was so many Houston peeps on this site

If you really want a shop to do it , I hear nothing but good stuff about Slater's.

However if you wanna save some bucks, get a couple qoutes and let me know what they are and i'll probably do it for half that or less. I got all the stuff to do it here at my house.

Shop by my house (exhaust shop) said they wouldn't install the lt's... it would "cost me too much". But would be happy to put the mufflers in for $225... ouch

Slaters quoted about $550 for install of long tubes, h pipe, mufflers and tails. Gonna hit up PA, it's in the ee area I work and swhat they say. My Neighbor has heard of slaters as well... but i don't think I can justify $550, mabey i can talk him down some /w another quote from PA.

mabey i can put the lt's and mid pipe on and drive it down there for them to finish

I've heard good things concerning Slater's/ Never conducted business with them....

I manage(asst.) an auto parts store by day, tinker with the stang in the evenings. I have several shops between Conroe/Woodlands area that would take the job for much MUCH less than that. Hell I'll even help you bolt on the longtubes, nothin to it. Have access to a welder/ lift also.

That's too good of a deal to pass up there... do you have stuff to weld up hangers for the mufflers? That and welding the flo tubes to the mufflers looks like the only part I need a pro shop for.

Waiting on the spintech's to come in the mail... sounds like you might have urself a deal there

Yeah as long as you have the flowtubes and hangers (i.e all the parts) I can weld them up, may not be the best looking weld but it will work and not leak.

I'll pm you my phone # so you can call me when your ready.
