I have an extra grille laying around and kinda stole this idea from vegas stang. I bought some of that chrome door edging and installed it on the extra grille. I am just curious to everyone's thoughts about how it would look on my Cobra. I have gotten so used to seeing it one way for so long that it seems everything I do to it looks kinda wierd. For instance, I also installed the center caps on the wheels, and since I have never had them on there (had them since 1988), they look wierd to me. But anyway-tell me your thoughts.

1. The original grille:

2. Chromed with clear lenses and silver bezels:

3. Chromed with clear lenses and black bezels:

4. Chromed with orange lenses and silver bezels:

5. Chromed with orange lenses and black bezels:

Like I said, I am so used to the original that it is hard to vote for another one. I do like them, but I think they might be a little much with the Cobra package. I think they might look better on a more plain model.

Your car looks great!
My choice would be #2.
Chromed with clear lenses and silver bezels.
But your car looks so good they all work.

I think #2 looks best. The chrome bezels with clear lenses would also look good on the original grill.

Stole my idea eh, thats funny I was thinking of doing the same thing but as I got half way through with the job, I did not like it. Probably because my car is silver. I have been called the Chrome Meister by some of my close friends because I have been playing with this stuff for years, many of my original designs have been stolen and people have made money on them while I loose out. Believe it or not my 05 Stang V6 was the 1st to sport the Pony Package long before Ford introduced it a year later. Once they did I removed all the chrome and went for a different look. As far as your wanting to change things on your car, that is what I call Dashboard Bordom. I either keep changing my cars appearance or I buy other cars and start all over.
Hey, it's your car do what you like. I like the chrome on your grille because it shows well on a dark car.

Thanks for your opinions. I also thought the second choice looks the best, just wanted some confirmation. I asked some of the guys I work with and it was pretty much unanimous on that one. Best part is I can go back if and whenever I want.

I like picture II and III. The white lens clean up the look of the II.
