Any suggestions?

I'm looking for the lightest wheels I can find, something in the 17 or 18 inch variety that will look good on a Rio Red 98 GT lowered with C-springs. I would like to stick with a 8 or 9 inch width up front and a 10 or 10.5 out back, but I'm open to suggestions.

Stock GT rims are in the 20s. Well the torque thrusts are.

I've got 17x8 and 17x10.5 Chrome 1995 Cobra R replicas right now and I really like the look, but they are a bit heavy. I don't know exactly how much they weigh and I probably don't want to know. I just cant find any light weight wheels that are the sizes I like and look good.

I was thinking 15-18 lbs would be light enough for me to justify the expense of the wheels, at least if they are not more than say $200 each.

I really like the 5 spoke designs like the 1995 Cobra R, 1998 Cobra, etc. The MM Konig light weight wheels look pretty good, but only come in the 17x9 size. I feel like 17x9 is a bit too narrow for my rear and 17x9 may stick out a bit in the front.

Thoughts?

5 spoke alloy wheels with the "argent" finish, like I have, are 17lbs each. 17x8. They came stock on the Premium GT's.

I've got 275's on my stock GT 5-spokes. You could even go 285 without a problem.

I'm surprised how high of offset you used. I suppose the new edges are much lower. I was looking at 18x9.5 +15 / 18x10.5 +15.
