Im looking for my next bolt-on mod and i want some input. I am looking for something that will give me some lower end torque. I'm not so concerned with HP as i am with torque right now. Just too slughish for my taste.

I did a few searches but couldn't really find anything that went specifically into that issue. Can anyone chime in on where you have seen the most TQ increase.

Keep in mind that I am not looking for a big power adder like SC, Turb, or Spray or steeper gears.
All my current mods are in my sig.

Well since you wont go internal, gears nor nitrous, then the only thing left is Longtubes. Other than that nothing else out there for you and you're wasting time.

i agree with the L/T's on this and a prochamber or H-pipe will lower your power band by a few rpm's

The Bullit intake adds something like 25-35ft/lbs of torque down low.

Cats would probably give you that low end torque your looking for, cams and l.t's both move your powerband higher in the rpms.

Cant go wrong with these and long tubes or mid length headers. Could get you 40+rwhp/30rwtq but at a cost of at least 2K+ for parts alone and another 1500.00+ for labor.

I vote for a tune

I'd say get a custom tune.

With all the mods you have the canned tune that comes on the Predator leaves a lot to be desired. Get a dyno tune if you can or email Dave at Injected Racing www.injectedracing.com He can set you up with a custom email tune based off your vin and modlist that you should be real happy with. I think he charges like $50-$75 and offers lifetime retunes too. Very cool guy and VERY FAST replies. I would have went with him if I knew about him before I forked over my cash to RWTD. I got a great tune from RWTD but it took them over a month to do it.

DBMSTNG, I would love the get the Bullit intake, but between labor and parts, it's a bit pricey for me right now. It is a consideration for the future though.

Hey, Squares98, you think if I use 2 of those, it may give me 40 HP?

I am thinking about the Bassinin Mid lengths with the matching O/R X pipe.

SVTPower, Got a few places locally that i can choose from where i will be going for a dyno tune soon. What kind of average increase in TQ can i expect from it above the built-in Predator tune?

listen, i have all that stuff. heads/cams are too expensive for you right now so go with long tube headers!!!!! nice low end torque with those. trust me.

I didn't even see you already had them. Even still a 4.10 is a great streetable gear for a 2V. You may have more plans for a 3.73 though.

I'd say based on what I have heard (no dyno sheets to back this up) on a modlist like yours there is probably a solid 10-12 ft lb of torque and just as much horsepower to be had by getting a custom tune. You have greatly changed the exhaust and intake of your car and the canned tune that comes on the Predator is really just setup to add a few ponies to a stock or near stock setup. A tune would really max out the gains from your exhaust.

Yeah, haven't gotten around to getting it dyno tuned. Gotta do that soon.

longtubes... thats all you have left that does anything.. AFTER the long tubes you can do the TB/plenum and pick up like 5-7hp.
