I'm just confused  ...thanks for any help

it was the third "here" i think you have to punch the pin out of the gear and that thrust plate towards the right of the picture. i had to use the smallest punch i had. dont use one too small, so small that it goes the middle of the roll pin instead of pushing it out.

you could probably use a nail with the tip ground flat too if you dont have a punch that size.

the gear will need to be pressed off and on. if you have to resort to hammering it off, come back to us and dont do damage to the gear of shaft.

ok, understood, but now look at pic #1. Do you notice that the brown curved strip is absent, unlike this one.

I'm guessing it's not a good thing that i haven't seen that thing since the beginning?

ok, got the new part in, pulled off the shaft replaced the sensor, i'll be putting it in tomorrow, see how it works and i'll let you guys know or ask any more questions if i have any...thanks for the help fella's

the wood is supposed to soften and even the impact so it doesnt damage the gear. and dont just pound on one side. alternate from side to side to get an even push.

oh and make sure the roll pin holes in the shaft and the gear are lined up when you start putting it on.

ideally you would use like an arber press but im just assuming you dont have that liberty.

Nope, but I went out to a local shop, had it pressed on, now I'm just putting in the roll pins, then I have to reinstall it....man I hope this works, I'm so not a mechanic, but I'm trying to learn
