Looking to buy 99 Cobra, need advice

I'm looking to upgrade from my 2001 v6 auto convertible to a cobra convertible, I have a cap as to how much i want to spend, about 18k.

I found a dealer near me that has a 1999 cobra convertible with 55k miles, clean title.

What do you guys think? I don't know much of anything about cobra's. I do know the 99's had some issues with being overrated in terms of power. Can anyone help me out?

if its in your budget buy it. the only issue was a recall to fix the car so it would meet its horsepower rating from the factory.

forgot to mention: the asking price for the 99 i foudn is 16,900.

is that a good price?

I think 16.9 is high for a '99 with that many miles. I think you could find a low mileage '01 within your 18K budget.
