looking to upgrade fuel rail and hoses, what do you have?

I'm looking to upgrade my fuel rails and the fuel hoses in the engine bay.

so i'm wondering what brand of rails and hoses do you have?

are you happy with the fit and finish of the rail? i heard a there can be a clearance issue with the distributor on our cars

what extra fittings did you need to to finish the job? anything you would do different? any products to stay away from.

and what did it costs for all the parts? you don't have to answer that one if you don't want to. but since i am on a pocket change budget, i know i can't go all out and buy top notch stuff.

and pics would be great.

Fuel rails are from BBRC w/ an Aeromotive A1000 regulator. Black braided line with endura hose ends. I think it ran me roughly $600 for everything. You can save a few bucks depending on the type of fittings you use as thats where they can get expensive. I think the enduras I used were in the neighborhood of $15-$25 a piece.

ah the man i had a question for.

so i take it with the BBRC rail there's no clearance issure due to the angles ends?

those rails are second on my list, but they might have just moved up.

and who makes the black steel braided lines?

stock rails here, -8 feed line, -6 return line. the stock rails will support 500 rwhp so if your making less than that i wouldn't even bother changing the rails.

95cobraguy is correct our rails are good to 500hp. The reason I did it was for a cleaner look as I also did away with the factory nylon and hard lines. I also did it so that it would be ready for the new powerplant that I will be putting in.

The rails are really some of the best out there, I did have to shim the driverside away from the lower intake a bit but not a big deal. You can also run a smaller dizzy cap available from UPR. I had looked into many of rails before I purchased these and they seemed to be the best fitting.

The braided line is from earls Earl's Pro-Lite 350 Hose - JEGS

I would also reccomend the BBRC rails. I have the Aeromotive rails, and they hit the distributor. I have the fuel rail shimmed out as far as I feel comfortable doing, and I am using a distributor out of a 92 F150 because it is about 1/2" taller. Fortunately it has the same connector as our car.
Even with those changes it still rubs ever so slightly.

I have the BBRC rails and they don't clear the stock distributor. I am assuming you can't still get the 92 F150 distributor from the Ford dealer....?
