buy some straight through mfflers for it. like magnaflows or ultraflows. those packs are going to be loud. hpipes suck and sound like ****, prochamber with flows or xpipe with magnaflows is where its at, otherwise you are gay

h pipes dont suck... it's where a mustang's true sound comes out...x pipes make them sound raspy and quiet.

get the dr. gas xpipe. due a search and you will see tons of complainers about the bbk x. I don't have it but I have read quite a few threads of people complaining about. this would make me find a different solution.

I've also got the shorty H with my BBK LT's, not a fan of the X. Im also not sure of your gonna like the sound of an O/R pipe with the straight through packs. I use to have the Packs with my O/R H and while it was super loud, it wasnt deep sounding to me, more of a high pitched machine gun noise after 3k RPM's. I switched out to the Magnaflow catback and its muuuch deeper, just the way I like it. Its your choice, as to what sound you like better.

lol there really is no other way to describe the sound with the pack and o/r h. I dont know if you could really call it rasp, but its not really a tone...its like loud ass back firing kinda. But after that 2700-3500rpm range, the tone of my exhaust comes back and it sounds damn good.

a mustangs "true" sound? can you elaborate? which mustang Ford has built are you referring to, because every stang i've heard from the factory sounded no louder than my dads silverado. wouldn't a car's "true" sound be what the manufacturer made it sound like off the production line? sure throw and o/r H and flows on it and you've got what 75% of every mustang on the road sounds like, (which is fine, its a nice sound) but that doesnt make it the "true" sound. and X-pipes make a car quiet? i beg to differ.

the Dr. Gas X is a good one, but if im not mistaken, doesnt it require welding? even more $$$. thats why i suggested the VRS. its can be made specifically for BBK LT's and he can get it ready to bolt on for $160 or $220 if he wants Stainless.

dude...x-pipes are always quieter than h-pipes...(off-road)

every clip i hear sounds like that...a mustang's true sound?

then listen to my clip i put up, if you dont know the classic mustang exhaust...

classic is o/r h with 2 chamber flows

exactly, "Classic" doesnt mean "True" sound.

as far as H-pipes ALWAYS being louder than X's? well, i'll let some of the others chime in. again, it depends on what mufflers you're running with the pipe.

Your exhaust doesn't sound much different from my bassani O/R x pipe and Hooker Aeroflow mufflers. Of course, yours is a bit lumpier...

Do you have any clips of you revving or going at WOT? I'd love to hear the setup. I have BBK LT's with a BBK O/R H as well. I have a Magnaflow catback right now, but miss the sound of 2 chamber Flowmasters I use to have on my 96' GT.

Before my LTs, my Dr Gas O/R X W/ magnaflows sounded AWSOME at every RPM except WOT above 4K. It sounded like CRAP @ WOT...like pure rasp, and I hated that.
Now with LTs and same setup, it still sounds awsome, but its hard to explain. Its deeper and sounds more "mean/tough...powerful...pure muscle" and "dont mess with this or you will get it handed to you" sound...yet still smooth, where as before it had a VERY smooth "different", almost streamlined sound, that was very pleasing to the ears. Just sounded amazing, but didnt scare you as much as now. I love how both setups sound. Kinda like two different mufflers that sound AWSOME, but each has its own sound and different areas where it sounds better/worse.
BUT, now WOT sounds X1000 times better than before.
But unfortunatly the car doesnt sound as good durring a free rev .
Anyways I love my exhaust setup, and I think its about the best flowing out there.

by "packs" ,,,,,, you are talking about glasspack mufflers correct?
get rid of those and your "better sound" problem is solved.
unless i am misunderstanding you?.......
