I bought my cobra last year and have since ran a 150 kit on it for a few bottles and had plenty of NA passes. Well before i owned it, the car was turboed. I guess where I'm going with this is that the motor was tired. I installed an s trim and took it for a spin. I was getting horrible blow by with oil out of the dipstick tube and the pcv would pop out. Well I did a comp test and number 7 is dead, scoped it and the ring is gone, and it appears some light scarring.

Well, I think i will through a fresh 302/306 back in and keep my cobra parts(hopefully the head is fine) and run it for a while. I will go ahead and keep my eye out for a dart or r block and wait for a good deal in the mean time so I can build a nice 331 for 600+rwhp.

I may change up a few things while its down, just not too sure yet. I just need to find a nice shortblock now so i can put it back together and have some fun

Sometimes i think a nice NA motor with 340rwhp in a light car would be more fun with the abuse it can take. But ever since that first hit of the 150 kit, a motor car(havent driven a car with a ton of NA hp) just isnt as fun
