Loosen Your Shift Knob

What i'm saying is that, say, when you go to throw it into a gear...If you're not right on the mark, say it needs to go a little more to the left or right, if its loose, it can change direction slightly, while you're giving it force in the general direction of the gear..If that makes sense.

i have a tri ax shifter that works awesome, i have it in the short throw position and i have a roush knob on top, the knob has a set screw in it to keep from spinning around. i'll try this tmmrw..

btw, how hot do all of you guys shifters get??

Hot enough that one day this week I couldn't even touch it. Had to shift by holding onto the handle right under the knob. That sucked. Most days it only stays hot for about 5 min after I start driving, but had a couple really hot days this week.

my **** gets uber hot. i have the Tri-Ax and a Billet Knob. its not the heat from the sun or what not that makes it unbearable. its if im driving on a hot day, the shifter is hot but then it cools down after a bit(or maybe i just get used to it). then if i stop somewhere, the heat from the tranny just conducts all the way to the knob while im out of the car. then ill get back into the car and the shifter is hot as ****.

i keep a right hand Mechanix glove in the larger cupholder spot for this same reason. people that drive with me when they get in the car are like "oh ****, badass thomas with the glove to drive. Are you the Transporter now?" and ill be like "you ****ing touch that shifter" *tsss* "yeah, thats what i thought".
