Loss of power on acceleration

I have a 89 vert gt 5speed mostly stock....other than pulleys...coil..FR wires and 3.73 gears.

My car has been sitting up for about 3 weeks ....so I decided to take it out today because this is the first weekend we haven't had rain in about 10 weeks.
So anyways...I take it down the street and noticed when I acelerate going through the gears the car has no power and the whole car shakes pretty bad.
But at crusing speed its just fine.

The last thing I changed was the coil (MSD Blaster TFI Coil). I have only put about 6 miles on since the coil change.

Could it be the coil?

I'd say you definitely have some sort of an ignition issue. Swap the original coil back in, check all your wires to make sure they're seated correctly, and take a good look at the cap and rotor.

Also, the old trick of letting the car idle at night and looking for sparks really does work.
