Loud fuel Pump??

Hey guys, I have noticed that when my car is just sitting at idle and im standing out side of it, the fuel pump is very loud. It is just a constant whine, I was wondering if this is normal or if its a bad sign? Thanks in advance... Brian

Those things are just loud. If it is a constant whine you should be fine but as soon as it starts cutting out start looking for a new one. I have a link to a a site that sells really cheap Walbro pumps. PM me if you ever need it.

The stock fuel pump? I've always heard the T-rex ones are loud but not the stock....

Maybe its time to move up to a 190 or 255 lph, they are relatively inexpensive and my 255 lph Walbro is very quiet.

that's normal. the stock fuel pump produces a moderately loud, constant whine.

I have noticed that whine on Mustangs, Crown Vics, Ford Trucks, I think its just ford thing But I have also niticed it on Chevys too

Thanks for all the replies guys! It is a stock fuel pump, so that sounds about right...
