hey i have dynomax race bullets and they are pretty loud i am still running the stock h pipe and manifolds and i was wondering if i could make them louder by changin out the h pipe and manifolds and which ones would be best. And i dont want an offroad h pipe cause i need to pass emmisions

Even tho you said you dont want a off road h pipe. I would suggest it. Just keep the stock one and put it on when you need to run threw emissions this is what i do. I have a mac and it really woke up the car after i put it on.

if you want to make it louder than change out the hpipe that for one that is larger ( 2 1/2) and with only one high flow cat per side. Also go with 1 5/8 headers. both of these will deepen the sound, make it louder and still pass emissions. The race bullets are a straight through mufflers making them the loudest mufflers you can get.

That is what I suggest also :nice: ...and then get some headers and be prepared to be heard :D

If you already have race bullets and you want to keep your catted H-pipe, about the only thing you can do to make it louder is the weld straight pipes where the mufflers used to be. I have heard some of the GM truck guys are running cats and no muffs and they are loud. I have no idea how that would sound on a 5.0, but my guess is you could start saving up for noise tickets. Maybe someone on here has actually tried cats and no mufflers ? = loud !

ever think about an X-Pipe?
My one friend had an h-pipe with a mac system and switched to bassani x-pipe and made it real loud

From what i've heard, an h-pipe is a bit louder at idle and midrange, but an x-pipe is louder at WOT. Just depends on what you want. H-pipes, or a prochamber sounds better in my opinion.
