Loudmouth, Magnapack or MAC?

I'm looking for a loud catback. Out of the Loudmouth, Magnapack or MAC catbacks, what would you guys pick?

Cost is a factor, with the Loudmouth and MAC being the cheapest two. I currently have Magnaflow weld-ins, and am looking for something with a more agressive, definitely LOUDER sound. What I have now is quieter than stock when I'm cruising! I want something I can really hear when I'm cruising at 1600-1800 rpms. I have an auto tranny.

So what's your pick? Thanks!

well i'm kinda partial to mac. i like them cause when you are just cruising they aren't that loud, but people know you are there.... that kinda sound. but when you hammer it, everyone knows you are there the sound really opens up at 2500-3000 & up rpm

just put the offroad h on with weld in flowpaths. sounds like 2ch flows until 2k rmp. then lookout! great sound

$359 shipped free for the SLP, you want loud scare your girlfriend's mom muscle car sound? get the SLP my friend w/ a 351 w/ dumps is envious of my stock car just with a catback. around 2-3k miles on them they REALLY deepen like an overnight change.

I've got the SLP and I love it. Its got a "different" sound than most Stangs around me, quality is great, and the price is right at MustangTuning.Com. Dead quiet when you're not on the gas so you won't draw the cop's attention either.

Thanks for the link. I've listened to those sounds to death trying to make my decision.

I can't go with an off-road midpipe. I need to pass emissions.

Looks like so far more votes for MAC than Loudmouth. Anyone else for the Magnapacks or the SLP system? Keep in mind, I want something I hear when I'm cruising at around 1500-1800 rpms, not something that goes dead silent. I noticed someone said the SLP was pretty quiet when you're not on the gas. Did you mean when you let off completely, or do you mean cruising speed? 'Cause I sure want to hear it when I'm cruising. Thanks!

I vote for mac. A guy pulled up next to me when I had my gt and it sounded way better than my 40 deltas.

If you want loud at cruising, get a Flowmaster 40 series. I used to have that and you get a great drone at 2000 rpms. Your friends in the backseat will love it, all they can hear is the exhaust.

Honestly loudest =! fastest or best. The loudmouth goes silent with no foot on the gas and has a decent tone when you're cruising... but its not unbearably loud.

i love my flowpath system. it isnt overly loud when cruising, but it still turns heads when i go down the street. When i get on it though it is unbeilivable, it is loud, i have guys running slp and flowmasters comment on how loud the mac's are. i would change them out for anything, i think that they have there own distinct sounds to them!

Ah, throwing Flowmaster into the mix now.

Seems like MACs and SLP both have a good sound to them at cruising then?

If that's the case, all I gotta do is listen to some cars with those two and decide which one I want. Finally.

You could always get an o/r pipe and then tack weld the convertor casings around the pipe so that it looks it has them on there.

Mustangs burn clean enough to pass emissions without cats and have so for the past fifteen years.

I have Mac 2.5" and Mac h-pipe with 2 hi-flow Mac cats..it sounds awesome. Especially at night. I was next to a GT with Flowmaster and o/r, and was happy of the decision I made...it was louder/sounded better even with cats.. In fact, it's louder than my friend's cobra with Flowmaster and Bassani x-pipe although he denies it...

Man, that's a sneaky idea! It would probably work, too.

Is the MAC prochamber considered catted? Or is it O/R?

Nope. Pro-Chamber is an o/r pipe. It works nicely on it too.
