I highly suggest that all my fellow classic Mustang owners check out this movie. It's about Eric Bana and his love for his Falcon XB that he's had for 25 years. This car is truly a major part of his life. It is eerie how much it reminds me of my relationship with my 68 Coupe. I'm 28 and it has been a HUGE part of my life for the last 11 years. That's a long time for someone my age.

If this isn't a tearjerker then you aren't a true car guy.
I watched it once by myself, and once with a buddy on netflix on demand. I also ordered next on my DVD queue so me and my wife can watch it together. That will make 3 times I've watched it, it's that touching.

Here's a preview on youtube.

BTW, I hated Dr. Phil and Jeremy Clarkson, for obvious reasons, but after this movie (specifically after 1 hour 14 minutes) into this movie, I know that they understand people like us.

I saw it on Speed a while back, and I agree, great flick. I like the fact that he actually did the build rather than drop it off with a blank check at some pro shop. Wonder how he's doing on the rebuild?

also saw it on speed. i sold my beast (a '70 formula clone) when my kids were little in favor of a vintage vette. now the vette is gone and i'm building a new beast for keeps this time.

Ive seen it a few times on netfilx, great show. last time i check it looked like the car was still wadded up and he had done nothing with it, but that was while he was filming "the time travelers wive" and before "star trek", havent found anything new in a while...
I thought that he had someone build the car for him this time, i know all the other things him and his "mates" did but i could have sworn that a builder did this version of it.

I've been wanting to watch that and didn't realize that Netflix had it. I just added it to my queue. It looks good even if it has Dr Phil.

Just watched it last night, it was the first movie I watched instant on netflix. Great documentary, nice to see he went back to his dads car while he pondered the fate of his own. I didn't know he was in movies until i looked him up in netflix. Dr. Phil was ok but I think Jay Leno hit a chord with the reason he raced it and how he raced it the last time.

Watching that car crash gives you goose bumps. Especially if you have spent a lot of time on your personal hot rod. Crashing is the nightmare! Like Eric said, id rather have my arm in a sling then see the car that way..
