ok, I picked up a overflow with low coolant light for my 88 gt. My original set up was replaced with a jug zip tied in the fender ( classy), so I'd like to restore it to a proper set up.

So I found a original overflow with sensor. I've confirmed that the light works from jumping the connector. I can't however get the sensor to turn on the light. I've cleaned the connection, cleaned everything I can think of. Using my meter, with the harness in, I've checked for power while moving the float- nothing, I've checked to continuity - nothing.. I'm not sure what to check before I return this.

To be clear, the 87-89 is different than the 90-93.

The float switch simply makes or breaks a set of contacts, if you can't get continuity through the float in either position it is Kaput (technical term)
