Low coolent light coming on ?

Ok, Im getting my headers and pulleys installed on Monday so I decided to take my car out of storage, throw the battery in and change the oil. When I started up my car the low coolent light came on and stayed on even after shutting it off and re-starting it. It wasn't on before I put it away for the winter. Has anyone had this happen to them and do they know why ? I hope it had nothing do do with the mouse that jumped out of there when I fired it up. Damn rodents !!!

Did you check the coolant level in your reserve can? The radiators in these cars are notorious for leaks where the plastic sides meet the metal radiator bodies. If you dont see any residue anywhere and the level is low, just top it off and see what happens. If your coolant level is fine, check for mouse crap with wire insulation in it.

I think your missing a "0" in your mileage cobra 8, thats in your sig?

On the coolant issue. I would get a coolant flush, change out the t-stat to a 180*, and add a bottle of water wetter.

I'm planning on having the radiator flushed when I have the work done Monday. I'll have to go back out and check my overfill level although I didn't see any antif-freeze under the car. And no I'm not missing a "0" in my sig. The weather up here s#cks you can't really drive your stang year round

I new I wouldn't be able to buy a new stang every couple of years so I figured I would try to keep the mile low on this one. I have seen a few in the mustang & classic ford trader lower than that. There was a 94 Cobra convert with 6,000 miles and a 93 LX with something like 1,400 miles on it. I know everyone says you get the car to drive it, but how sweet would that be picking a 93 LX with under 2k on it !
