Yes, I have checked the oil, yes there is PLENTY in there, but NO the damn light will not go off. I changed the oil a few weeks ago and sometimes the light would be on and sometimes it would be off. however it's been on for the past 3 days and it's getting to be very annoying. what could be some reasons for it staying on like that? is it possible my dipstick is giving a bad reading??

ha, the i've had the car for 2 months prior to this and it never burned, leaked, consumed, hid, ate, pissed, or **** oil. when i changed it i even used valvoline maxlife. my old GT used to burn about a quart every 500 miles and once i put maxlife in never burned another drop, so i definetly would not expect it to start burning oil once i put the maxlife in. where is the sensor and how can i change it? is it a PITA?
