Lower Control Arms

It is time for me to upgrade the lowers (bbk) I like the idea of the captured rod ends. Opinions ?

Maximum Motorsports makes some of the best stuff out there. The rod ends will add quite a bit of NVH, but they improve handling by allowing for better articulation of the rear end. Also they have 0 give so if you haven't already you will need to reinforce your torque boxes.

The torque box reinforcements are welded in. Not really about handling,in the traditional sense. I think I am getting bushing deflection (rear steer) under heavy throttle.

Quite the opposite with these arms. Because they reduce deflection and articulation, there is less stress on the torque boxes. LCA's that are fixed like SSM's or have poly bushings on both ends produce more stress. I do agree MM makes the best stuff out there, which is why I've run them on every Fox body I've owned.

I say get em along with a set of 94-95 stock rear UCA's.

I've got those same arms on mine, seem to work well (no hop for me with the quads removed), nvh didn't seem to change much (maybe actually a bit better just because the stock 160k+ 20 year old bushings were about shot) but car was a bit loud then. Will still be using them with the 427, don't really see a need to change them other than to an adjustable spring perch down the line.

I ordered the M/M arms and c/c plates.
Now looking at front coil over conversions. The M/M stuff looks to be quite a bit more expensive then most others. Is this,you get what you pay for ?

Yes and no. The cheaper ones tend to fit struts a bit too loosely and rattle, but on the other hand there's not that much to them. I went strange for mine to go with my strange struts (at about half the price of MM), haven't ran em yet but they fit the struts pretty well so...

Wondering what springs to start with on the coil overs. The 9.5 deck,dart block is heavy...
The alternator is the only motor driven accessary,glass hood. Battery will be going to the rear shortly.
Weight transfer is the goal. 200 lb. ? Need to pick a bump steer kit as well.

i went 12"-175lb for a street/strip setup (also 9.5 dart).
