lower intake gasket?

when i took my intake off there was no gaskets on the front or back just tons of rtv is there a part number for some i can pick up i have a holly systemax intake
thats the gasket in reffering to....

Many if not most just use RTV for the front and rear portions there. But, if you'd like to use the cork, and that's the only parts your after, they're nothing that your local parts store doesn't carry. You'd have to buy an intake set (edit: any stock 302 intake gasket set available at a parts store from 68-01 would have those included), but those would come with it. If you need a full lower gasket set, recommended would be Fel-Pro 1262, or Mr Gasket 5834...either one would work.

also where can i find what i needa befor instaling the one head i removed like torque specs n the sequance of tightening them do i have to raise a piston up its been a while since i did this

Something as simple as a Haynes manual would also help a lot with torque sequences and specs and whatnot. However, I find that I rarely even need to use the manual because so many people have done it all with our cars and have well documented the stuff.

RTV is the correct way to do it if you ask me! fel pro sent some rubbers ones with my GT40 gasket set so i tried them and they leaked.

RTV here also, and NO Fel Pro 1250 gaskets since I have had 3 sets of them fail. I went Fel Pro 5.0
stock application steel core gaskets and they have held up.

Weird...I've used the 1250s on numerous apps and never had a problem...n/a and under boost.

...those look like they were overtorqued...and installed wet?? What is that brown crap? Gasket shellac?

Yes they were overtourqed from 8 to16 to 23ft. lbs! it's not the first Intake job I have ever done! And the brown stuff is Edelbrock Gasgacinch. The first set of gaskets were installed by a professional Mechanic And they failed the same way as the ones in the picture like the ones I installed as you see in the picture.

There was another fellow here on Stangnet that told me he also had the same type of Fel Pro Intake Gasket failure on a Ford Racing 460 crate motor he had. You may have had good luck with those gaskets but I will never use them again!

Yeah mine were torqued to a whopping 19lb-ft in the proper sequence and they REALLY went to hell on me. It's no secret these gaskets fail, I have a nice collection of pictures.

Man, I'm sorry to hear/see all this...I've used FP1250s over 15 years and at least a dozen engines and have NEVER seen that...

I was told these are vynil gaskets and that is the reason why they melt then tear. How I discovered mine were bad, I was smelling coolant while my engine was running and I was seeing coolant puddling up on top of my timing chain cover because it was leaking from the lower intake gasket. I removed the intake and that is the mess I found twice.

sucky...those aren't the only gaskets I have used that are the printo-seal type, either. I used Mr. Gasket 5834 for my blown 5.0...never had a days trouble with them either for 6 years. The only reason I went with them instead of the 1250s was because the port size is actually a tiny bit bigger, and they were $5 cheaper ...and I didn't have to cut the little piece out of the water passage. Otherwise, I used them with every single aluminum intake 302/5.0 derivative engine where I've been the one to install the intake since I was 17....I've lost count of how many I've successfully used. But, like anything, your mileage may vary I guess.
