just got the 95 lowered this weekend ( FINALLY ). went with eibach sportlines and some upr 3 bolt cc plates. also threw on some energy suspension isolators and some low mileage shocks and struts from a 04 gt.

the stance is awesome...on the drivers side. the rear sits just a tad higher than the front. the passenger side however is level. the rear on that side may actually even sit a tad lower than the front. whats up with that?? its driving me up the wall!

this car has had the stock springs / bushings / shocks / struts since 95. i just had this done sunday. ive always heard that when you lower a car it takes a while for everything to 'settle'. could it be that? im thinking maybe the shock may be off....not bad, just off.....is there any way that could happen? also, could it be that the spring isnt sitting in the isolator right??

any ideas on this guys?

i'll try and get pics posted soon

thanks

You sure both springs are turned the same way, have the same isolators?

i actually got it done. as far as the springs turning the same way....if they arent perfect, that could cause it?

isolators are the same, yes

btw: the passenger rear is about 1/4 - 1/2 inch lower than the other side

dude that sucks, especially after putting your car through so much cosmetic surgery. btw my stock springs have sagged considerably- when i drive my car it is constantly floored so lots of weight is sent to the rear. infact the rear of my car is so low it looks almost as if i had installed lowering springs in the rear but neglected the front end-no joke.

all i can suggest is let things settle like you said. maybe it will come around. ummmm maybe you could even let things settle then switch the rear springs???? haha this could work and yeah im laughing at the thought-atleast temporarily.... as you know lots of force gets sent to your back right tire, its just how things are designed from the factory. god damn that rotating force.

otherwise you could invest in one of those air bladders for the rear right spring, which would probably be your best bet.

good luck with everything and i hope you got a chuckel from my reply

Same problem

I lowered mine using my buddys old jamex springs. I have the same exact problem. Ive tried turning the springs. It made no difference. I took out the isolator on the other side to even it up as much as possible. temporary fix. Mine makes a clunking sound on that same side cuz i cant keep that control arm bolt tight enough.

That sucks man this is the curse of the Eibach
"Sportlines". Some sags and some don't it's strange.
You should have gotten H&R Supersports and you wouldn't be going through this.

Maybe a dumb question ... but are you on PERFECTLY level ground when looking?

I ask because I have all the stock crap on my car right now and if there's even a tiny rock under one tire, the car sits crazy unlevel.

If so ..... then I'd check everything out in the rear. Especially since you didn't do the install. You never know if they may have done something to make it do that. They may have even left an isolator out.

Mine is the same. I jsut assume that since it is a vert of unknown history (at least a couple fender benders) that something has been tweaked along the way... At least with my fat butt in it it probably sits level...

If you want to narrow it down, possibly, you can either swap the rear shocks or swap the rear springs (not both at the same time) from left to right to see if the "sag" follows the swap.

the ' should have's ' dont help me now

the way my luck usually goes tho, i could have gotten any spring on the market and that would have happened.

if it turns out to the the spring...wonder if i could call up eibach and work out a replacement?

not a dumb question at all. i thought the same thing. ive tried it on two different places. i'll go for a 3rd just for the sake of arguement.

as far as someone else doing it, i watched 80% of it. he didnt leave anything out. maybe somethings just out of adjustment?

not a bad idea. which one would you try 1st if you were me?

could it be anything to do with the spring not sitting in the isolator properly? turning the spring sometimes helps?

I'd start with which ever is going to be easier for you to do yourself (unless you're going to take it back to the installer). For me it would be easier to swap out the springs. if you swap the springs and it still sits lower on the passenger side then it's probably the shock.

good luck :nice:

ford springs, right?

and yours is passenger rear also?

When we put my springs on (Eibach's progressive) I had a problem with one side sitting a little lower, my issue was the spring wasn't in the same as the other side (the way it sat), we rotated the spring to match up to the other side, and problem solved. Since you had someone else do it, maybe take it back? Other than that, you could try to get the car on a lift so there is no pressure on the spring and try to rotate it if its off. Its been a while, don't remember if you are going to be able to do this with parts installed, but might want to try.

im hoping thats all it is. maybe when they were installed on the lift ( no load bearing ) they were on correctly but when everything got back on the ground, the sping twisted.

the person that installed all this for me is a stand up guy. if it can be fixed, i know he will. he actually did mention when he put the rears in that he had to be careful how everything was placed or it would shift when weight came down.

so this is a common thing ?
