Lowering again

I currently have H&R Sport Springs (1.5" drop) and am considering getting 2" drop springs. I have 03 Mach 1 struts/shocks and MM c/c plates. Would the Mach 1 dampers be compatible with 2" drop springs? What else might be necessary in dropping it 2" (X2 ball joints, etc) Thanks!

You'll probably need a bumpsteer kit with a 2" drop.

FWIW, I don't have a bumpsteer kit, and I'm lowered 2" on Eibach Sportlines but I do have MM c/c plates. Only thing I needed to do to give it a better ride was to get fox body struts up front because with the 2" drop, the travel on the struts was pretty much bottomed out and when I would hit a large bump, it would make a huge thud noise and it sounded like the car was going to explode. I ended up going with KYB GR-2's which aren't adjustable but they were pretty inexpensive and get the job done for the time being. They required a little modification to go in, but it wasn't more than a bit of grinding and 2 spacers made for each side.

As for springs, I got my Sportlines used with 2k on them for $100, and thats why I bought them. If I was going to throw down the cash for new ones, I'd get the H&R Super Sports. The Sportlines sag ever so slightly in the back, but other than that they are a great spring. The handling is MUCH improved over stock. Just my .02.

the Mach 1 shocks n struts i think are the same that came in the Bullit, correct me if im wrong?(theyre a set of black tokicos correct?)

My cars lowered with the Sportlines, and i only have installed at this time those black tokicos that i mentioned above. i dont see any rub at all. btw, im also running 18s with a 275 tire up front.

My suggestion, and its only MHO, i will be running the 03 Cobra A-Arms, bumpsteer kit, MM c/c platers and MAAAYBBEE a x2 ball joint. the 03 cobra a arms already come with an upgrade ball joint as opposed to what our cars currently run @ stock, so i dont think there will be a real big need for it. but, if i got the extra cash i might just buy them just because. good luck and POST PICS!

The Mach 1 struts & shocks are the black Tokicos, I'm guessing they're the same as the Bullitts. They are definately stiffer than the stock struts & shocks, so I think I'll stick with them. I'll go with Stang Suspension Series II springs.. cheaper than most!

And I'll definately get some pictures up when it's all finished!!
