Hey guys, im gonna lower my car by cutting the springs. I was wondering if anyone had any pics of their car that have the springs cut. I need to know how many coils to cut. Im thinking 2 1/2 coils in the front and 2 1/4 in the back.

y r u cutting springs?!?!?! that is the worst thing you could do to a suspension. Atleast go and get c-springs for around 140 from www.americanmuscle.com

while i hear many opinion on this, i must agree with 94GTHO. Buy cheap spring such as FRPP C.

Ride quality is totally subjective, but its my understanding that by cutting spring, you'll kill your ride quality

Well most of the time when you get those springs you dont know how much it lowers your car. I was gonna cut the springs and make me some new control arm brackets. I have seen a car just like mine with the springs cut and it looks sweet.

Looking sweet and performing are two totally different things. If you want to drop the car, get some lowering springs as the above people have mentioned.

DO NOT CUT YOUR SPRINGS

That kind of shiot is for the clueless imports drivers who think stickers are a performance mod.

Just buy the new correct springs for you car and your goals. Springs are not that expensive.

Just like everyone else said. U will hate yourself for doing it. Ur car will ride rough, everything will start to rattle, and u will also rub the chit out of ur tires cause the spring rates will be way out of wack.....

Drop zones are a good CHEAP spring. Get them off ebay cheap as hell.. I went with sportlines and love them. Handle like a champ and look great, (execpt back is a **** hair lower than the front)....

Cutting springs is not as bad as most make it out, but 2 coils is going to be too much. Take your time, and start with 1/2 a coil can cut in 1/2 coil incremements until you get it where you want it. You can always cut more, but you can't put it back. Worst case scenario, you'll hate the ride, and you end buying new springs anyway. Best case, you won't mind the ride, and you'll have look you want with little to nothing out of pocket.

DO NOT CUT SPRINGS....

If you wanna go LOW just go coilover and dump as much as you want.

If you are just being cheap the Buy a set of springs off E-bay.

The End

I dont know. I want a raked look, so i need the front a little lower than the back. i thought about maybe getting the c springs, and leave the isolator out in the front. Or the eibach pro kit. With the eibachs is susposed to lower 1 1/2 all the way around, and if i do that and leave the isolator of the front, it may be to low. I dont know what to do

go coilover. the back of my car is about 1/2" higher than the front. no alignment issues. this is actually how Maximum Motorsports set the car up for me when i had them corner weight it.

just be aware, coilovers are not the cheap route. you are looking at about $1500 for the struts/shocks, springs, kit and c/c plates.

Well i changed my mind again. Im njust getting some cheap ones off ebay. 2 inches all the way around, and im gonna leave the isolator off the front to give it the raked look.

The dampers must be matched to the drop. The stock dampers are already crap, do that to them and they will be DOA.
