Lowering Car: Need Help

Well i changed my mind again. Im njust getting some cheap ones off ebay. 2 inches all the way around, and im gonna leave the isolator off the front to give it the raked look.

just remember if you're going too low, you have to adjust the rest of the car for it, which means you need C/C Plates and some stiffer dampers to compensate for the alignment, hard/lower rates, control arm angles..

I dont know what those things are. What are the cc plates for? What are the dampers for? I know about the control arm. Going 2 inches do i have to have those things or what?

you need the camber plates so you dont have too much neg camber. (the top of the tire leaning in) this will cause premature wear on the inside edge.

Dampers = shocks and struts...

Typing "dampers" is just quicker...

oh my...im glad you posted before you decided to cut 2+ coils off your stock springs off the bat. You should prolly just invest in some eibach drag kit springs.

damper is the proper term anyway.

definately get the caster camber plates, preferable from Maximum Motorsports so that you will be able to align your car after. trust me, from someone who does alignments all day, the MM ones are the easiest to work with.

Im not going to cut the springs. Im gonna buy some off ebay. I know what your talking about now. I had a truck and i lowered it and stuff nad it done that a little bit. I dont want that to happen. What if i dont go as low, will it not do that?

Coilovers are not the preferred route for everyone, FYI.

And once you mess with the height, you screw the alignment. Just remember that too.
