I'd like to lower my 02 GT ragtop a little. It seems like most of the manufactures say something like "not recommended for convertibles". Anybody put lowering springs on a 99-02 GT convertible? Any recommendations?

thanks,

I've got a 96 'Vert with the Saleen N2 suspension on it. No problems at all. :nice: You shouldn't have any problems lowering your rid as long as you don't go to low. Also, if your 'vert doesn't already have them, install subframes to stiffen the chassis a bit to better handle the upgrade in handling performance the springs will give you. Saleen, Steeda, Roush, Eibach and Ford all have quality springs for your ride and they are all closely priced so it's just a matter of choice. Mustangs unlimited also sells springs with their name on it but made by Eibach. I haven't seen any reviews on them but they are cheaper than most other manufactures. Once you do change your springs, I recommend changing your struts and shocks when finances allow because the OEM parts were not made to work with a lowered car. Hope this helps. :)
