LSD/ AXLE QUESTION!

hey guys i wanted to get a limited slip put in my 02 gt. I went to a shop they said i should go with the cobra diff since it has carbon fiber discs in it and they are good for the street. Also axles i saw some on americanmuscle.com .. Good or bad ? What are some of ya'lls opinions on which ones to get? Also people who have them what are your views / experience with both lsd and axles ? any help would be great thanks again guys.

Your car has limited slip stock, are you getting the one wheel peel now?

You can get a 31 spline carrier out of a explorer or f-150 with a 8.8.. In fact I have one I can sell you cheap if you want it PM me. And then buy some 31 spline axles.

The limited slip worked in the carrier I have but I would put new clutch discs in it and a s spring out of a F-150

BTW the carbon fiber clutches can be bought at a ford dealer and come pre shimmed for somewhere around 100. or there is a non pre shimmed kit that is cheaper if you do that you may want to remove one spline disc from each side and add a extra friction disc.

Also last thing to remember do not go nuts with the friction modifier, if you use too much it will reduce the effectiveness of your limited slip.
