LT header access on 96 cobra

I have a header leak on my 96 cobra. I have MAC LT's installed (i know they suck but i have had no problems yet). I need to change the header gasket.
IS there any way to gain access to them without removing the engine completely or removing the K-member???
I have heard it may be possible to jack just the engine up a few inches. I obviously imagine i would need to unbolt tranny and clutch?
any thoughts???

unbolt motor mounts > lift motor a few inchs > then pull the side that needs to come off > no need to drop the trans to get it out/ only the starter or steering shaft . buy some good gaskets . not the cheap autozome one's.

Take off the macs they have a bad rep for those cars...
