LT's and x pipe

I have a steeda catback exhaust on my 99 cobra. I am now going to buy some long tubes and an off road x pipe. I've been looking at BBK's ceramic coated LT's and short x pipe....you guys think this is a good set up? I had BBK's on my 5.0 and they were alright I guess. I like that they are ceramic coated. Give me some feed back please. I am procharging it in about 6 months or so if that means anything to you....thanks jon

and if I put the LT's on am I guarenteed to fail the sniffer test???

Yep, if you are in Cali, long tubes won't pass from what I've read...

The BBK's are good headers though...The only problem they have is you have to take the passenger side one off if you have to drop the tranny...

as you can see in the sig I ordered bbk lt's and an off road xpipe to accent my steeda catback.....will take a while to get installed but will post some sound clips when I get back to the homeland.....what about smog in other states???? Anybody know for sure about the smog situation????

They are cool here in MO if you have cats, or if you know someone to pass you on the visual because we don't have emissions here anymore, only an OBDII scan for emissions which will pass if you have O2 cheaters...

In MO, what if you simply have the rear O2s turned off? And if you have a guy to "pass" you on the visual, shouldn't he also "pass" you on the scan?

BTW, great choice going with BBKs, but I have heard bad things about the X. Some say it's more raspy than other X pipes...

In MO currently we take our car to a certified mechanic that has an inspection license, then we take our car to a state run emissions center where before they put it on the rollers and did a real emissions test...now they just plug it into the OBDII port and if there aren't any bad codes thrown you pass...so if you have your MILeliminators on there with a catless pipe, no code, no problem...a bunch of guys in our club have passed with O/R pipes...They are trying to pass legislation that eliminates the emissions part though because over the last 5 years it hasn't shown to improve the overall air quality...
