Hey guys...well im going to do the clutch cable and throw out bearing (again) in the next week. I'm going to order the Max motorsports clutch cable which i believe is an OEM type cable and has gotten good reviews. Any comments?

Im running a spec stage II clutch with a steeda quadrant and firewall adjuster.

I need to know a couple things about throw out bearings:

The two i installed in the past i did not grease...should i have? It seems like a good idea in theory..but i would think the first time out on the highway...the majority of the grease would sling out?? I understand that the TOB is not rotating at the same speed as the trans input shaft...but its probably spinning pretty quickly at high speeds.

Secondly...whats a good place to get a nice all steel TOB? MM offers one for $35 but there is no product description! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

i use the centerforce tob with no additional grease added to it

I use anti-seize lightly on the bearing retainer get a steel tubed retainer also!

thanks for the info guys...it seems like both of the manimum motorsports parts (TOB and Cable) are actually manufactured by ford. I think that will be the best alternative. Nothing aftermarket seems to work as well and last as long as the stock parts.

Any other input about greasing the TOB. Maybe just a little bit of bearing grease on the input shaft where the TOB rides? let me know!
