Lug Bolt Strippage

When swapping the old rims out for the new ones, I noticed that one of the lug bolts on the front driver's side was stripped. When I put the new rim on, I can't get a nut to go onto that bolt. So as of right now, there's only 4 of the 5 on.

How do I go about replacing it?

May be a dumb question to some, but I don't usually do more than maintanence things on the car. I assume it's not a good idea to be driving it around with only four lugnuts on.

Thanks

It is pretty easy to install a new stud. Once the rotor and caliper is out of the way, you can either use an air hammer and press it in through the back of the hub with the wheel turned for access, or you can also use a clamp and a deep socket to do it too. I have used both methods and they work well.

However, expect to pay anywhere from 1/2 to 1 hours worth of labor plus parts to do this at a shop.
