LX Heads vs GT Heads?

i do think that GT's could come with a suspension (handling) package (i dont know if that was also an option on LX's).

I believe the only difference in the LX 5.0 and the GT are ground effects/paint schemes; I've never seen a two-tone factory painted LX. I had a LX 4 cyc. a few years ago two tone silver/navy blue, but it had been repainted.

other differences (straying way off topic) are things like factory fogs, GT gauges/idiot lights, and some other power (accessory) stuff. LX's came with a grill. :D

GT = appearance package. You got a few more goodies and features that the LX cars didn't have (seats and more). I've heard that the GT ground effects are actually functional and helps keep the car planted down at high speeds, if anyone can verify that for me.

true

i also read some where that the reason they didn't make notchback GTs other than conv. was because they were not as stable at high speeds as hatchbacks

i like the way the gt looks, when i bought my car i was originally looking for an LX but the only decent 5.0 i could find around here happened to be a GT so I bought it, now I been lookin at it for a while now n like the GT better, the GT Taillights are HIIIIIDDDDDDEEEEOIOOUUSSSSSS :barf: :barf: :barf: gt taillights

I may also add that the GTs had upgraded ball joints and maybe bushings in the front end, though some LXs had this too if they had the "HD" handling package. I forget, but was there a difference in the front sway bar as well? I think there was a couple of differences underneath the car that I can't recall off the top of my head, but the differences are pretty minor.

They had the exact same suspension and drivetrains, same brakes, same everything except wheels on certain years. If it's the same year GT as an LX, the suspension and engine are identical. I cant belive people still think there are differences between the cars besides the ground effects.
