Hi everyone, im new here and looking for some help and some opinions. I am going to be building a LX notch for some street strip action. Im looking for opinions on what the best suspension setups would be, front and rear. Id like to use a 9 inch in the rear, 5 lug conversions front and rear, and am considering mini tubbing the rear. What do you guys suggest?

The best setup, well that is debatable to say the least. There are so many ways to choose. I would look at cars that launch good and go from there. Why the 5 lug conversion, the only real advantage is the wheel choices. Why convert to a 9" rear, the 8.8 is a very strong rear. For mini-tubbing info go to www.flemworld.com it has a good article on that.

Well the 9 inch just something I want, im going to be gettina 4 cyl car and need to change the rear anyway, i might as well spend a few extra bucks and get the nine inch. I love the look of the 9 too. 5 lug is also for looks. I would like a wider selector of wheels and I might as well do it while im getting new axles and stuff anyway.

Well, if your going to have to buy anyways, why not I guess. You could get a 8.8 out of a foxbody pretty cheap, a 9" is going to cost you. A 9" is nice with the ability to swap gears so easily.
