I have bought a complete set of GT ground effects (front/rear bumper, extensions, and side skirts) for my 87 LX. To mount them, I'm told that I need these metal mounting brackets that the side skirts and extensions snap onto.

I checked with CJ Pony Parts and they quoted me friggin $263.50 for the stinkin mounting brackets (not counting tax or shipping). GOSH!!

Is there any way to do this cheaper? Because if not, I might bail on the whole idea.

Any ideas??

go to the junk yards take a battery powered drill and some bits. remove the old clips off a jy gt I belive they are rivited on drill out the rivits. Thats how we got them for my lx vert converted to gt.

When your doing this. Take good measurements on where they mount on the body,
